Array Editor dialog box

Use the Array Editor dialog box to create, edit, and delete array dimensions and elements. For more information, see Working with Array Dimensions and Elements.

To open the Array Editor dialog box, choose Array Editor from the Model menu or the Array tab of the Properties Panel.

Array dimensions

Use this side of the dialog box to create, edit, and delete array dimensions. If you have already created one or more array dimensions for the model, they appear in this list.

• Name – The name of the dimension. To enter or edit the name, click the cell and type the name, or make changes to the existing name.

  Note: Dimension names cannot begin with a number.

• Indexed By – The type of elements you want to have in the dimension: Label or Number. To select the element type, click the box and then select the type you want. Select Label to create text elements. Select Number to have numeric elements, numbered sequentially starting at 1.
• Size – The number of elements in the dimension. To specify the size, click the cell and type the number of elements you want (or click the arrows in the box to increase or decrease the number). For Label elements, the number you enter here determines the number of rows that appear in the "Dimension element labels" list.
• – Click this button to add a dimension and its label elements by pasting elements from the clipboard. For more information, see To Create a Dimension by Importing Label Elements.
• – Click this button to add another dimension to the list.
• – Click this button to delete the selected dimension from the list.

Dimension element labels

Use this side of the dialog box to create, edit, and delete elements for the array dimensions. If you have already created one or more elements for the selected dimension, they appear in this list.

• Name – The name of the element. To enter or edit the name, click the cell and type the name or make changes to the existing name.

  Note: Element names cannot begin with a number.

• – Click this button to add another element to the list.
• – Click this button to delete the selected element from the list.

• – Click this button to paste a list of elements from the clipboard to the selected dimension. For more information about pasting labels, see To Paste Copied Label Elements.
• – Click this button to move the selected element up in the list.
• – Click this button to move the selected element down in the list.
